I am in a mood to discuss one-liners today. I am talking about one-liners painted mainly on vehicles. One can see these witty one-liners while travelling on Indian roads. Trucks plying across Indian roads have very interesting one-liners painted on their backside.
As you might already know that, truck transport is main mode of goods transport across India. Lakhs of trucks travel thousands of kilometers daily to serve the needs of Indian people. I would be leaving C2 in the month of July, 2009. When I go back and think, what has the company given me? Prime thing is professional identity. Because of which I can stand proudly in the job market, wherein I can get a new job. I had to admit that, I learned lot many things under the umbrella of SEM in this company. Also I need to mention friends I caught up with. All of my friends/colleagues are fabulous individuals.

C2 has been instrumental in making me a digital marketer. I mastered the skills of PPC account management and structuring here. In addition to this, I developed my web-browsing know-how coupled with content-writing. I feel equipped with networking skills too. Not to forget, I was introduced to the game of pool in the C2 recreation hall. Over the period of time, I could play pool comfortably and sometimes defeat my opponents too.

I also wish to thank C2, for giving me timely money in form of salary from which I could run my monthly expenses. In return of monthly salary in devoted my time & knowledge with utmost sincerity. I had a fortune to attend various training programs that were arranged periodically. Also the cultural celebrations and several competitions were enjoyed to the fullest extent. At the end, I can say that it was mutual give and take relationship, wherein I benefited. Hope that, my company would have also extracted similar or more amounts of returns from me. I will always be thankful and grateful to the company where I started my professional journey.

Children are beauty of human life. You and I were one of many human beings to have lived & experienced childhood. I realized it and felt strongly that children enjoy the most because I came across an incident in morning.

I was coming to the office morning time. I had to abandon my daily route to office and explore new one. Reason being the “palki”. Main highway was blocked as thousands of devotees were travelling barefoot. Therefore, I tried to get to the road from where I could reach office as early as possible. Alas! All of my attempts were unsuccessful except the last one. Fortunately, I was told to take route from charoli to lohgaon and finally vimannagar. I managed to reach charoli bypassing kaljewadi. While coming from kaljewadi a group of three-four children along with their mother were walking down the street to the village kaljewadi. They waved their hand to stop me for a short lift. I too stopped, seeing their tender faces. Soon they sat on backseat of my bike. Three of them could occupy backseat as they were very small in size. I took off from that point; I can remember the mother had a smile on her face at that point of time. It was short journey of 2-3 kilometres along with little ones, but they enjoyed a lot and cracked jokes. I too shared the space with them and laughed at their jokes and tricks. On the way, I asked their names. The elder amongst them replied she is ruchita, she is nikita and I am amol. I was happy that the kids residing in rural areas no more feel shy to tell their names. When the destination came, they asked me to halt the bike. Amol hurriedly got down and fled away. While ruchita and nikita could not get down that fast, they got down slowly and just smiled. I waved my hand to them and began my journey to office. They gave me the valuable experience that I could cherish.

The above internet majors have had an impression on me, as I have been in there company for more than a year now. With each one I spent time for a different reason.

I Used Yahoo mostly for personal use.

I Used Google mostly for commercial use

When time remains I used MSN services.

Email service provided by Yahoo, is used by me ever since I became acquainted with internet world. As an adwords professional used Google extensively. Very rarely I visited MSN network, during recent months for reporting purposes only.

Also got to know about other search engines like miva, ineem etc…. but have hardly used them. In the beginning of my acquaintance with the internet, I wondered about the capacity and capability of computing systems as a whole. Using them over a period of time I am surprised about the variety of uses they are put into. Some of the uses are E-commerce, messaging, conducting business etc…………….

Now I am stunned knowing about the arising social media connectivity and it’s potential. Entire human race is getting influenced by these technological innovations. Social media has mesmerized humans to such an extent that even traditional businesses are getting into it. One can say that there’s no escape from online media for an individual, business or whatever.

Good persons with great character, sporting spirit and lively personality are rarely found. I myself had a fortune to meet a person of tremendous ability to cheer colleagues around, understanding their problems, proactively get involved to offer reasonable advice and get work done. Here I am to tell you about one of my friend, colleague and a team leader.

Well, I learnt many aspects of content-writing from the very friend, which I am mentioning here. He led team of content-writers specialized into writing tourism articles. He is excellent at handling people and not to forget superb pool player. He has always been very supportive and helpful in case, there is any ambiguity or confusion regarding the work. Honesty has been great virtue which he possesses. He does not hide any announcement from team members and is very open to suggestions. Openness and his listening abilities make him a good team leader. Along with this, communicating soundly is asset he owns. One of the qualities every TL should possess is look every team members as potential team leaders in future. He possesses that.

Apart from professionalism, this guy is a very good friend. Being with him, for more than a year, know about him passion for biking. He is very passionate about biking. He goes for weekend biking trip on his R15. One of his favorite places is Lavasa situated around 50 kms from Pune. Listening and watching his Lavasa tales is quite interesting experience.

It’s said that every individual learns from other. Let it be handling any situation, dealing with people, staying calm and number of things in daily life. Since everyone goes through different experiences and grind that moulds him. This learning process is always ongoing subject to openness of the individual. I have learnt many things in process of moving from one team to another. Small things grouped together makes a basket of skills that proves to be helpful at a point of time.

In the domain of Ms-Excel, things learnt include using formulae, formatting cells & file saving formats. Along with these tools, I learnt in person the specific abilities developed by team members. To mention a few viz. managing tasks, mail communication & chat. Here I wish to mention friends made during stay in the team. Colleagues become friends, when you share your trouble and joy with them. I had the fortune of having friends Atul and Ankur. These two guys made my stay in the team comfortable and joyful. I still laugh for the jokes cracked by Atul in free time. His ability to create humor is enormous and pleasant. It really makes feel light in company of Ankur and Atul. I call them gem of the team they are in.

It’s great to laugh when you are in awkward situation. They taught me to be chill in any situation & make fun. A valuable asset with individual is to mock at things and people when you face uncomfortable situation. This light-heartedness really helps to deal with all times and persons. I am very fortunate to enjoy their company in a Corporate Environment.

You can improve productivity by utilizing the unused capacity of your employee. In many places, there are people who are used to perform certain tasks on a routine basis. The lead or the manager isn’t aware of the great skills possessed by the individual and therefore the employee is never given a chance to do things in an innovative manner. Organization hinders its growth itself by not exploiting the unused brilliance of the human-being.

An employee considered as a human resource can create significant changes that can increase profitability of the company. In fact, all the employees in an organization shall be considered as potential source to increase the profitability & add value. This vision need to be open- minded without sticking to only one type of idea.

Especially into the advertising arena, employee needs to be given his space and freedom to explore his creativity. Into the corporate world, office jargons and restrictions hamper the creativity of individual. “Utilizing the entire potential of the employee is going to be the new mantra of success in coming days”.

Responsible men often prove to be successful candidates, whichever field they progress. The sense of responsibility brings awareness about ones duties. Let it be responsibilities as a family member, team member and/or as a citizen of a nation. This virtue is of great help in modern times too.

While working in an Organization, or if you are running a business you need to be a responsible player. In an organization where work quality is very important, sharing responsibility is crucial. The tasks are shared amongst team members, where it is responsibility of every team mate to deliver flawless work from his end. Also care needs to be taken by higher authorities that a single team player or couple of them is not overburdened by workload.

If one of the team member is over-burdened with tasks, only because he is expert in completing them flawlessly, Over- work will affect his/her productivity in long-run. He won’t be able to focus on a certain task, and apply his skills due to paucity of time. Another danger of such practice is that remaining team members become complacent and lethargic. As the result, the potential of a team as a whole is reduced to a large extent. Therefore, to avoid the potential loss, each team member must be assigned reasonable amount of work-load judging his work expertise and area of specialization.

This practice of recognizing the skill set possessed by each member of the team & allocating tasks accordingly is largely duty of team leader. Talking again about the sense of responsibility, if every team member recognizes his responsibility towards work, the team would succeed in its endeavors. In an event of important task coming in, tasks needs to be shared amongst team members with a commitment to achieve the best results.
